Can a wedding dress be taken out?
Yes, normally a wedding designer, dressmaker will leave some ease allowance and this typically is anywhere between 1-2 inches both sides. Alternatively, if more circumference width is required then in most dresses a vanity panel with tie up loops can be put in to the back.
I am regularly asked to make bust adjustments on wedding gowns and this can be achieved. However, the dresses are sometimes heavily beaded or sewn in a very intricate way that this will naturally increase the cost of alteration.this can be discussed at your initial consultation.
Lace dresses are becoming increasingly popular these days and most wedding dress hemlines involve a beautiful scalloped or a heavily beaded edge. We will need to remove the trim before we remove the excess length, before adding the trim back on. This is a timely process which again will naturally increase the cost of the alteration.
What if I lose weight after my dress has been altered and it needs further adjustment?
As the work will have to be carried out a second time. We will charge accordingly to the price list.
I’m having my wedding dress altered with you, Do you offer discount if my bridesmaids need their dresses altered?
Yes we can offer a 10% off discount.
When do I pay my bill?
